If you haven’t been invited to any apartment parties, and still don’t have New Years plans, don’t fret!  Zagat has compiled some great restaurant specials for the holiday, and  This site has literally hundreds of NYC parties listed.  But getting a spot at an open bar on New Years Eve is like trying to get into the bank on Black Tuesday 1929.  So you might want to pregame or bring a disposable flask (stocking stuffer?), so when that ball drops, you have enough liquid courage to ring in the new year right, (with your tongue in the mouth of that blurry stranger next to you.)
