A ski getaway sounds appealing, but the thought of falling and breaking a bone and catching gangrene and night sweats is enough to keep me inside at the bar.  That’s where this today’s groupon comes in.  It includes a round trip transportation to a course with 12 snow-tubing hills (you’re already on your butt, so you can’t fall!), tube rental, tube lift pass, and then a tour of the Captain Lawrence Brewery with complete with samples.  Check it out on Groupon!

    Groupon.com

A groupon is exactly what it sounds like: a coupon for groups.  While it doesn’t quite have the ring of Bennifer, it does have a daily deal for things in NYC, often restaurants, but at other times spa treatments, events, shows, etc. Today there are two groupons up for grabs, $25 for a $50 coupon for Maya (a pricey little Mexican joint down the street from my apartment) and also $26 for a wine, beer and champagne included cruise around New York harbour (Yumm….Brrrrr…)  But the catch is: a minimum amount of people need to sign on for the deal before midnight, otherwise you don’t get it (but no worries, you are not charged for the coupon).  So check out Groupon.com today, or I’ll keep you posted on their other cheap food deals as they come!

    Restaurant.com

This post marks the dawning of a new era of ITJS, and a plethora of meals yet to come.  Restaurant.com is a gift from the universe that contains 60% off coupons at 287 restaurants within a 5 mile radius of my apartment!  You can browse the extensive list, and pick whatever type of food you crave in whatever neighborhood is most convenient.  Then buy the coupon (Usually around $25 value for $10, or $50 value for only $20), print it out, and get your fork and knife ready!   Some coupons have stipulations such as, weekday only, alcohol excluded, 18% gratuity added…but that’s what’s great, you can pick the coupon that is perfect for you!  Occasionally new restaurants will have absurd deals, such as $2 for a $50 coupon, but those are few and far between.  Regardless, this site is much deserving of 5 hotdogs.  Or is 5 hotdogs for the price of 2?
